Role Overview:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks on retrofit projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of energy-efficient systems such as insulation, windows, doors, and heating systems.
- Prepare and clean job sites, including removing debris and maintaining organized workspaces.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Support skilled tradespeople (e.g., plumbers, electricians, or carpenters) as needed.
- Perform basic repair and maintenance tasks under supervision.
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and any issues.
- Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with clients on-site.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in construction, retrofitting, or a related field is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid Safe Pass certification and Manual Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain these).
- A full, clean driver’s license is desirable but not essential.
