If you wish to upgrade multiple elements of your home the SEAI One Stop Shop solution provides an End-to-End service.

You are required to contract a registered One Stop Shop provider who will manage the entire process including claiming the grant support from SEAI. There are additional bonus grants available when you upgrade your home using a One Stop Shop. In this case, you do not have to pay the entire cost upfront as the grant funding is claimed directly by the One Stop Shop. Grants offered are provided by the Government of Ireland through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).

Benefits of a One Stop Shop solution

If a One Stop Shop solution is the most suitable option for you and your home there are a number of benefits for homeowners to taking this approach.
  • The One Stop Shop will manage the entire process from planning to scheduling works and handover including claiming the grant support funds.

Benefits of the Home Comfort Retrofits One Stop Shop Solution

Experience

The team that started Home Comfort Retrofits has been working in the construction, home heating and renewable energy industry for over 25 years. This allows us to bring a wide range of experience and expert knowledge to every project.

Responsible Fabric First Approach

We are committed to a ‘fabric first’ approach which means we look at the project in its entirety and ensure that the renovations will deliver a warm, comfortable home that will be energy efficient and save the homeowner money.

In-house Specialists

We directly employ the specialist teams who will work on your home. As we don’t rely on outside contractors this means we can plan each project and schedule all works efficiently in order to complete the project as quickly as possible. This will minimise the disruption to your home life and let you get back to enjoying your warm, comfortable home.

End-to-End Project Management

We appreciate having any work done on your home can be stressful so we will manage the process from start to finish while keeping you informed every step of the way. We will also be available to answer any queries you may have at any stage of your home renovation.

After-Sales Service

Once all works are complete we commission your system – this means we will complete final checks on the whole system to ensure that everything is working as it should and it is performing to deliver optimum efficiency. We will then provide a formal ‘handover’ to you – this will provide you with all the information you need to ensure that you know how the entire system operates, the ongoing maintenance requirements and what to do in the event of any issues arising. We will ensure you are aware of your warranties and the conditions involved. We also provide routine annual servicing for all the mechanical elements of your installation, so you know we are in this with you for the long run!

The One Stop Shop Process

If you are a homeowner or private landlord looking to make substantial energy upgrades to your home to achieve a Building Energy Rating of at least B2 on the completion of works then a One Stop Shop solution is likely to be the best option for you.

Step 1 – Preliminary Enquiry

Our specialist team will conduct a preliminary assessment to determine if your home is suitable and meets the eligibility criteria as specified by SEAI. Contact us to arrange a suitable time.

Step 2 – Home Energy Assessment

The costs and level of work required will depend on the unique characteristics of your home and a Home Energy Assessment will determine what upgrades are required. This is a technical assessment that will provide us with the information we need to provide you with information and a quotation for upgrades. There is a separate standalone grant of €350 available from the SEAI to contribute to the cost of this assessment.

Step 3 – Review Options

We will meet with you to review and explain the findings of the Home Energy Assessment and discuss our recommendations as to the options available to you. This will allow us to finalise our proposal to you, confirming the works and associated costs so you have all the information you will need to make a decision to proceed to the next step.

Step 4 – Carry out the Works

Once you are happy with the options and quote we can sign contracts and establish a timeline for the work to be carried out. You will have peace of mind knowing all works will be organised and completed to or above the standards and technical specifications required by SEAI.

We directly employ the specialist teams who will work on your home. As we don’t rely on outside contractors this means we can schedule all works efficiently in order to complete the project as quickly as possible. This will minimise the disruption to your home life and let you get back to enjoying your warm, comfortable home.

Step 5 – Project Handover

Once the works have completed and the system has undergone all final quality checks we will engage a registered BER Assessor to complete a post-works BER assessment and publish the certificate. Once this is complete, we will ensure you are happy with how all systems operate and aware of all maintenance requirements.  Our After-Sales team is available should you have any issues or follow-up queries.
