Grant funding is available for individual measures in which case the homeowner contracts private companies and submits the application for grant funding directly to the SEAI.

This option is suitable for homes that may already have completed significant upgrades or have a Building Energy Rating (BER) of B3 or lower. In this case, you will need to pay for the upgrade and can claim the grants after the work is completed. This option allows you to schedule gradual upgrades over time according to your needs and budget. Grants offered are provided by the Government of Ireland through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).

Benefits of the Home Comfort Retrofits for Individual Energy Upgrades

Experience

The team that started Home Comfort Retrofits has been working in the construction, home heating and renewable energy industry for over 25 years. This allows us to bring a wide range of experience and expert knowledge to every project.

Responsible Fabric First Approach

We are committed to a ‘fabric first’ approach which means we look at your home in its entirety and ensure that any upgrades or renovations will deliver a warm, comfortable home that will be energy efficient and save the homeowner money.

In-house Specialists

We directly employ the specialist teams who will work on your home. As we don’t rely on outside contractors this means we can schedule all works efficiently in order to complete the project as quickly as possible. This will minimise the disruption to your home life and let you get back to enjoying your warm, comfortable home.

End-to-End Project Management

We appreciate having any work done on your home can be stressful so we will manage the process from start to finish while keeping you informed every step of the way. We will also be available to answer any queries you may have at any stage of your home renovation.

After-Sales Service

Once all works are complete we commission your system – this means we will complete final checks on the whole system to ensure that everything is working as it should and it is performing to deliver optimum efficiency. We will then provide a formal ‘handover’ to you – this will provide you with all the information you need to ensure that you know how the entire system operates, the ongoing maintenance requirements and what to do in the event of any issues arising. We will ensure you are aware of your warranties and the conditions involved. We also provide routine annual servicing for all the mechanical elements of your installation so you know we are in this for the long run!
