Ventilation
The importance of correct ventilation in your home can not be overstated. This is particularly important in any modern homes with improved levels of insulation and air tightness to ensure that the air in your living environment is healthy and fresh.
Mechanical Extract Ventilation allows for the rapid removal of water vapour and other pollutants from your home and venting them to the outside. Heat recovery describes how the heat from this damp air is passed to the incoming fresh air to allow for warm fresh air to be introduced to the house. This means that heat energy is not being lost as you would find with natural ventilation through older style wall or window vents.
Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery - MVHR
Mechanical ventilation installations mechanically extract stale air from your home while simultaneously using this stale air to heat the fresh incoming air. MVHR expels odours, allergens, toxins and excess humidity from your home providing a higher indoor air quality without compromising the efficiency of your heating system. MVHR will allow you to recover up to 95% of the heat which would be lost if natural ventilation was used in your home.
